A graphic designer since 1985. 1987 Allan started using MacDraw to create floorplans and MacPaint on Macintosh’s converted Lisa computers. In 1988 started using Illustrator From tutoring Quark at UC Santa Cruz, to working at a Kinko's Computer services, where he’s taught Illustrator and Photoshop classes. At a small design studio, Allan has created numerous medical illustrations, and technical drawings for Klutz children's books.

Later as an Art Director at a medium size ad agency, Allan created illustrations, brochures, logos, flyers, business cards, direct mailers, postcards, banners, and billboards. television commercials, and was the creative director for Marcom magazine (a 70+ page magazine).
